<p><strong>Ferring Pharmaceuticals Announces 2010 My Little Miracle Essay Contest</strong></p>
<p><strong>PARSIPPANY, NJ – March 1, 2010 -</strong> If you are a parent who has conceived using Ferring Pharmaceuticals’ fertility products, you can win a $10,000 education fund to support your child’s future. Two other education fund prizes will also be awarded. To be eligible, all you need to do is write a brief essay. The topic is: If I Knew Then What I Know Now, explaining what advice you would give to other women who are coping with infertility and how you would describe your success using BRAVELLE<sup>®</sup> (urofollitropin for injection, purified) and/or MENOPUR<sup>®</sup> (menotropins for injection, USP) as part of your treatment plan.</p>
<p>Ferring’s My Little Miracle Essay Contest is open to women who have been successfully treated with BRAVELLE<sup>®</sup> and/or MENOPUR<sup>®</sup>. The contest celebrates the miracle of birth for parents who have faced infertility, and carries on Ferring’s tradition of supporting patients by offering education funds for the winners’ children. </p>
<p>Ferring is also awarding a $7,500 education fund to the runner-up and $5,000 to an honorable mention winner. Since announcing the first contest in 2004, Ferring has awarded $128,000 in education funds.</p>
<p>Essays should not exceed 2,000 words. They must be written in English, include the entrant’s name, address, phone number and age, as well as the child(ren)’s name(s) and age(s), and be submitted with a contest application and labeled digital photo. Entries must be postmarked by December 31, 2010. Winners will be announced in January 2011.</p>

<p>MENOPUR<sup>®</sup> administered subcutaneously is indicated for the development of multiple follicles and pregnancy in the ovulatory patients participating in an ART program. BRAVELLE<sup>®</sup> administered SC in conjunction with hCG is indicated for multiple follicular development (controlled ovarian stimulation) during ART cycles in patients who have previously received pituitary suppression. BRAVELLE<sup>®</sup> administered SC or IM, in conjunction with hCG, is indicated for ovulation induction in patients who have previously received pituitary suppression.</p>
<p><strong>Important Safety Information</strong></p>
<p>Only physicians thoroughly familiar with infertility treatment, including the risk of multiple births and adverse reactions, should prescribe BRAVELLE<sup>®</sup> and MENOPUR<sup>®</sup>. BRAVELLE<sup>®</sup> and MENOPUR<sup>®</sup> are potent substances capable of causing mild to severe adverse reactions, including OHSS (overall incidence of 6.0% for BRAVELLE<sup>®</sup> and 3.8% for MENOPUR<sup>®</sup>), with or without pulmonary or vascular complications, in women undergoing therapy for infertility. BRAVELLE<sup>®</sup> and MENOPUR<sup>®</sup> are contraindicated in women who have a high FSH level indicating primary ovarian failure; uncontrolled thyroid and adrenal dysfunction; an organic intracranial lesion such as a pituitary tumor; abnormal uterine bleeding of undetermined origin; ovarian cysts or enlargement not due to polycystic ovary syndrome; prior hypersensitivity to respectively, urofollitropins, purified, and menotropins or MENOPUR<sup>®</sup>. </p>
<p>BRAVELLE<sup>®</sup> is contraindicated for the presence of any cause of infertility other than anovulation. MENOPUR<sup>®</sup> is contraindicated for sex hormone dependent tumors of the reproductive tract and accessory organs. BRAVELLE<sup>®</sup> and MENOPUR<sup>®</sup> are contraindicated in women who are pregnant. BRAVELLE<sup>®</sup> may cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman. There are limited human data on the effects of BRAVELLE<sup>®</sup> and menotropins when administered during pregnancy. </p>

EUFLEXXA (1% sodium hyaluronate) is used to relieve knee pain due to osteoarthritis. It is used in people who do not get enough relief from simple pain medications such as acetaminophen or from exercise and physical therapy.
Important Safety Information
You should not receive this product if you have had any previous allergic reaction to EUFLEXXA or hyaluronan products. You should not have an injection into the knee if you have a knee joint infection or if you have skin disease or infection around the injection site.
EUFLEXXA is only for injection into the knee performed by a qualified doctor. After you receive this injection you may need to avoid activities such as jogging, tennis, heavy lifting, or standing on your feet for a long time (more than one hour). The safety and effectiveness of repeat treatment cycles of EUFLEXXA have not been established. The safety and effectiveness of EUFLEXXA have not been shown in people under 18 years of age.
Side effects sometimes seen when EUFLEXXA is injected into the knee joint were pain, swelling, skin irritation, and tenderness and these were generally mild and did not last long.
